10 Breath-Taking Places To Visit In Autumn

10 Breath-Taking Places To Visit In Autumn

Prague and its magical places

Imagine this. Green leaves turning into the most beautiful shades of yellow, than orange and finally bright, vibrant red.

However, this doesn’t happen in the same time at once. The process is very individual in each tree. This way autumn makes one of the most beautiful scenery there is.

Autumn is amazing for travel. It’s not as cold in winter, it’s simply not as hot as summer and the nature give the place the unique beauty that can’t be replicated. If you want to see where to travel this season, check out this post right now!

Check out 10 of these breathtaking marvellous places to see in autumn!

1. London, United Kingdom

London has a special magic in autumn. The leaves turns colourful, of course, but the light feels more bright and warmer than usual on a sunny day. The temperature here is quite okay too, basically typical british weather.

You can see a lot of sights here, such as incredibly famous Tower Bridge, Big Ben and London Eye

I would also recommend walking to parks, as they’re truly brilliantly colourful in autumn. You can visit Hyde Park or Hampstead Park, but there are so much of them in the centre of London you won’t miss a park even if you want to.

2. St. Petersburg, Russia

Ohh my beloved Saint Petersburg had to make it to this list. It’s a beautiful city, in every season, but autumn is special.

Venice of the North is truly like a Venice. Stunning romantic canals make their way to the city centre just to be admired by tourists. Leaves in colourful spectre falling down from trees that meander around the streets.

Absolutely gorgeous. Also you might get a taste of Russian winter in true nature, but a bit softer and kinder than in winter. If you’re a summer person, you would love this!

Also the photography is great here – as the light is softer and not as harsh as in summer. This applies for all nordic countries, maybe except Iceland.

3. Rome, Italy

Rome is a good place to visit in autumn because in summer it gets unbelievably crowdy and touristy. The incredibly famous places like Roman Forum, Colosseum and Vatican City.

Rome also feels more pleasant in autumn, as the summer heat flows away. September tends to be quite warm in Rome, Italy because the summer is prolonged.

4. Kruger National Park, South Africa

You can discover unreal beauty in the Kruger National Park. It is located in South Africa, so if you are flying from Europe or US it will be a tedious journey.

But who would not like to see rhinos, elephants, buffallos and other wildlife animals in their natural habitat?

5. Cairo, Egypt

There is a lot of stuff to do in Cairo, Egypt. The city of oldest travellers and archeologists had to make an appearance on this list. Cairo is wonderful in all seasons, but in summer it tends to get incredibly hot, to the point of the weather being unbearable.

Caito offers lots of tourist attractions such as:

  • Giza Necropolis (pyramids of Giza)
  • Egyptian Museum
  • Luxor (the valley of the kings)
  •  The Tower of Cairo

and lot more other famous sights!

6. Wadi Rum, Jordan

Wadi Rum is a desert located in Jordan. The place is extreme in sumers and winters, which means in autumn the weather would be ideal.  You can see canyons, moody weather and experience a real desert quite close to the famous city of Petra

The place safe for Bedouin who live here, yet dangerous for those who ignore the dangers. Worth the visit. You can also see the exact place where many of the films were filmed.

7. Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam has beautiful canals, lovely streets with tall and crooked houses and lots of culture. You need to see Amsterdam from this perspective , especially in autumn.

Little independent boutiques, small fashion designers, delightful bars and quirky art experiences are what you can expect in this liberal city.

8. Wilderswil, Switzerland

Wilderswil in Switzerland is said to be one of the most stuning places. There is everything you can possibly want from a travel experience: castle, art galleries, nature walks, hiking.. and a lot more!

Visit this stunning place this autumn and you won’t regret it.

9. Tuscany, Italy

Tuscany is absolutely gorgeous place in Italy. It’s actually the region in Italy with lots of beautiful cities. My most favourite/best known are:

  • Florence (read my blog post about Florence here, and here)
  • Sienna
  • Lucca
  • Pisa
  • Chianti.

10. New England, USA

New England in US is a region composed of 6 states. There are many cities and notable mentions where to go, but only one has a special autumn scenery. Vermont. The city has its unique crisp air, incredibly colourful leaves and it’s basically on all of those beautiful Pinterest pictures you know.

Other famous place is Cape Cod, a vacationland near the ocean where people often go to spend their holidays there.

In conclusion

Autumn is a stunning, breath-taking season and I hope you see that now. It’s one of the best travelling seasons, not just because of its unrevelling beauty and uniqueness, but also because of less volume of tourists. In summer, places tend to go overcrowded and less enjoyable. This isn’t that much of a problem in autumn. Book your trip and enjiy yout vacay!

Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and everything. However think about if you added some great visuals or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and clips, this site could undeniably be one of the greatest in its field. Fantastic blog!
